Make a besom broom (witch's broomstick!)

Make your own broom from traditionally coppiced birch and hazel on this 1 hour course. Participants will be taught how to select ,bundle and trim birch twigs, bind them together and then attach a hazel handle to make a perfectly functional broom for everyday use. These sessions are running at Warehouse 701 during the "Halloween" half term, and children accompanied by a parent are welcome to participate. The workspace is inside our rooms at Warehouse 701 in Hereford.
Besom brooms have been in use for many years and do an excellent job of sweeping, but they also make for an excellent witches broomstick!
